1. Who We Are

Quiz Patente AI ("we", "us", "our") is an online platform for Italian driving licence exam preparation. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable laws.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: name, email address, hashed password, preferred language
  • Usage data: quiz history, study progress, AI interaction logs
  • Billing data: subscription plan, payment history (card details are processed directly by Stripe — we never store them)

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve our services (contractual necessity)
  • To generate AI-powered study assistance (legitimate interest)
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions (contractual necessity)
  • To send service-related emails (transactional)

4. Third Parties We Share Data With

  • Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
  • Google (Gemini API) — AI text generation
  • OpenAI / Groq — AI inference for study assistance
  • Email provider — transactional email delivery

We only share data strictly necessary for the service to function. We do not sell your data.

5. Public Content You Choose to Share

Some features let you choose to make content public — for example, marking a study note as public. If you do this, your name and the content of that note become visible to other users of the platform. This is entirely optional: notes are private by default, and you can switch a note back to private or delete it at any time from the Notes section.

6. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers (Stripe, Google, OpenAI, Groq) may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, to protect your data.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of your personal data (available via Settings → Export data)
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate data (available via Settings → Profile)
  • Erasure — delete your account and all data (available via Settings → Delete account)
  • Portability — export your data in machine-readable format (available via Settings → Export data)
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali — if you believe your data protection rights have been violated.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently and immediately deleted from our systems.
